- 12 oz pasta (penne, rigatoni, or ziti), cooked to al dente
- 1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage
- 3 cups pizza sauce or marinara sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup pepperoni slices (regular or mini)
Optional Add-Ins:
- 1 cup diced bell peppers
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- ½ cup chopped onions
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Prepare pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Cook the Meat: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef or sausage until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Layer the Casserole: In the Crock Pot, spread a layer of pizza sauce on the bottom. Add a layer of pasta, meat, more sauce, and cheese. Continue layering until all ingredients are used, finishing with a generous layer of cheese on top.
