Ingredients

- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 oz taco seasoning (1 packet or 3 tbsp homemade)
- 6 cups chopped iceberg lettuce
- 1 cup chopped fresh tomatoes
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 cups Frito corn chips
- ½ cup salsa
- ½ cup Catalina dressing (or to taste)
- Toppings as desired (peppers, onions, jalapeños, sour cream)
Instructions
Cook the Beef:
- Brown ground beef in a frying pan over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
- Add taco seasoning and ½ cup water. Simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.
Assemble the Salad:
- Place chopped lettuce in a large bowl.
- Top with cooked beef, tomatoes, cheese, 1 cup of Frito corn chips, salsa, and desired toppings.
Dress and Serve:
- Add Catalina dressing and toss well to combine.
- Sprinkle the remaining corn chips on top and serve immediately.
