Description

Warm, flaky, and stuffed with gooey cheese and savory ham, these crescent rolls are a quick and delicious option for breakfast, snacks, or appetizers. Add an optional butter glaze for a gourmet touch everyone will love!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can crescent roll dough
  • Thin slices of ham (enough for each roll)
  • Slices of cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or mozzarella)
  • Optional Butter Glaze:
    • 2 tablespoons melted butter
    • 1 teaspoon honey
    • 1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
    • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Optional Egg Wash:
    • 1 egg, beaten

Instructions

Prepare the Oven:

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.

Shape the Dough:

  • Open the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles along the perforations.

Add Fillings:

  • Lay a slice of ham and cheese onto the wide end of each triangle. Be careful not to overfill to avoid tearing the dough.

Roll Them Up:

  • Starting at the wide end, roll the dough tightly toward the tip, wrapping the ham and cheese inside.

Optional Topping:

  • Mix melted butter with honey, Dijon mustard, and garlic powder for extra flavor, then brush over the rolls.
  • Alternatively, brush with the beaten egg wash for a golden crust.

Bake:

  • Place the rolls on the prepared baking sheet, spaced slightly apart. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.

Serve Warm:

  • Let the rolls cool for about a minute before serving. Enjoy them warm while the cheese is still melty!

Notes

  • Dipping Sauces: Serve with honey mustard, ranch, or marinara sauce.
  • Breakfast Spread: Pair with scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, or yogurt for a complete breakfast.
  • Appetizer Platter: Add to a charcuterie board with veggies, dips, and crackers.
  • Lunch Combo: Enjoy with a side salad or a comforting bowl of soup.
